TRUSSING AND STAGING

Staging

Truss Upright
A vertical stick of truss of any size (typically 8' or 10') used to mount lighting or video equipment. Sometimes wrapped in fabric and lit internally (truss warmer).

Truss Warmer
An LED inside a box truss used to produce an inner glow. Can also be used in tandem with white spandex wrapped around the truss for a more streamlined look.

Truss 'T'

Straight Truss on Crank Stands
Straight box truss on crank stands allow for lighting at heights greater than 10 feet. Typically used for front or rear lighting, this configuration is used frequently for live performances.

Goal Post Truss
A truss expanse creating the shape of an upside down 'U' shape. Great for lighting rigs that need to make a statement with the truss design.

Full Box Truss
Great for events that require full immersion in the lighting (i.e. a "nightclub feel") or sometimes used at trade shows or product launches, a full box truss consists of 20'L x 20'W x 10'H or 16'L x 16'W x 10'H box trussing usually constructed around the dance floor and provides an architecture to rig all production equipment from.

Pipe and Base
A metal pipe attached vertically to a round base used to rig lighting or other equipment. Sometimes wrapped in fabric to blend into an event's theme.

Ground Stacking
Building a truss, speaker or video system from the ground or stage up. Typically, this is the most cost effective and time efficient method of constructing the event.
